Six robbers stormed a house in Kavi Nagar area of ​​Ghaziabad early Tuesday and looted a family of cash and jewelry.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ghaziabad Kalanidhi Naithani said that he received information between 4 am and 5 am that some thieves had entered the house of Bhopal Sharma, a resident of Chiranjeev Vihar in Kavi Nagar area of ​​Ghaziabad.

“The family informed us that they had been robbed of eight lakh rupees and one lakh rupees of cash. This is preliminary information and further investigation is on,” he said.

SSP Naithani said there were signs of beaten up people in the house and he feared involvement of a distant relative in the robbery.

“The home’s CCTV camera was not working, but we are investigating cameras in the surrounding area for more evidence,” he said.

Bhopal Singh said that the six robbers entered his house and locked the family members in different parts of the house.

“They had a revolver, one bullet of which is still inside our house. They had no fear and were sitting in our chairs smoking,” he said.

Mr. Sharma’s daughter, who was present at the house at the time of the incident, said that the robbers broke the kitchen window at around 1.40 am.

“We were 10 people in the house and they were six in number. They left around 4 o’clock.”

She said the family tried to call the police for half an hour on two emergency numbers 100 and 112, but their calls were “not present”.

She said that they then went to the police station to report the incident.
