This morning, the army hospital in Delhi reported a deterioration in the former president’s condition. The Army’s Research and Referral Hospital said he had gone into septic shock due to an infection in his lungs.
Mr Pranab Mukherjee was admitted to the hospital on 10 August and underwent surgery on the same day to remove a clot in the brain. He tested positive for COVID-19 in the hospital.
